Amy Spampinato is a Delaware mom involved with the PTO and the local community running for Delaware’s House of Representatives.
Being involved in Delaware’s school system inspired her to run for state office to fix our failing schools and expand opportunities for her children and children throughout Delaware.
The daughter of a pastor and being involved in the church from a young age taught Amy the importance of hard work and family, which is why she makes her family her priority.
After meeting her husband, Jesse, through roommates in New York, Amy moved to Delaware to be with him and their family. Their family attends Wyoming United Methodist Church, where both she and her husband are involved in the church leadership. Amy, her husband, and her children attend every Sunday.
Amy is a mother of two daughters, one of whom has Down Syndrome. Amy is acutely aware of the struggles facing Delaware’s special education program, especially after COVID-19. Amy knows firsthand what needs to be done to protect these children and provide the best education possible.
Amy is an avid supporter of the local Dover art community and is involved in numerous special needs organizations throughout Delaware, including the Special Olympics, the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware, and Embrace.
Currently, Amy and her family produce children’s music that centers around inclusion and kindness for everyone. They have traveled all over Delaware and to the surrounding states, spreading their message.
Amy is ready to bring this message of inclusion to the legislature in Dover.
